We have made numerous custom electrical enclosures - more than we can even begin to count - but we recently put our expertise to the test by building a fully welded 8-door enclosure for an automotive manufacturer.
No Job is Too Big
Many of our competitors typically make this capacity of project in multiple pieces by bolting multiple enclosures together as one piece. However, we typically enjoy challenging ourselves to make sure this is all one piece for our customer in order to prevent future performance issues and deliver a higher quality product. A solid enclosure versus a bolt-together version yields plenty of benefits; the most important being a more sturdy product and better quality for the long-run.
Moving through the shop
Given the size, this 8-door sure can move through the shop quick! Within a matter of hours and fresh off the laser cutter and press brake, this project made its way through the welding tables and into the waiting area for its custom finish! Our customer decided on a wet-paint finish versus powder coating, but we are fully capable of doing either finish according to preference.
getting the job done
Following a clean paint-job, our 8-door traveled to its customer with detached doors; packaged safely in our weather-safe custom delivery truck. Our customer completed all of the wiring within the enclosure according to the demands of the final destination. “We especially appreciate a solid enclosure when working on the wiring due to the ease of an organized structure,” explained our customer. Not only does this solid enclosure provide long-term benefits for its intended purpose, but it also adds a better organized and efficiency to the interior wiring.
